Small Projects Landscape Architect

Job description

We are seeking a Small Projects Landscape Architect immediately!

Essential roles, responsibilities and activities

  • Primary client communication from after first contract signature to completion of project.
  • Completion of small and Maintenance client projects including: design packages, estimating, bidding, and build supervision.
  • Responsible for design and build phase products matching client scope, including all changes authorized by the client.
  • Create, track, and update schedules within company and to client with input and coordination of Design and Build departments.
  • Track and coordinate all project documentation to insure all permits, invoices, purchase orders and other relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for financial health of project by overseeing budgets, expenditures, change orders and other relevant areas.
  • In case of disputes, uses client knowledge, experience, and input from any and all MSN staff to make the final decision, the final say.
  • Responsible to close out the project quickly once the project is essentially complete.
  • When designs involve both hardscape & planting shall have designs to be reviewed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Small Project Landscape Architects should have a minimum of a 4-year degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Science or an affiliated field.

Landscape Architecture License is preferred but not essential.

Preferred Skills

Landscape Design skills.

Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.

Organizational skills.

Report writing, presentation and interpretation skills.

Possesses the values of Teamwork, Excellence, and Integrity.
